Although only a small coastal village, Instow is well provided for when eating out.
The Bar - good pub food in tastefully decorated surroundings where you can put your feet up, sip a pint and watch the yachts go out from Instow yacht club.
The Boat House – a bustling, busy restaurant/bar. You can drop in and get a table on the bar side and the food is great. Or, if you fancy something a little more special you can book the restaurant. Locally caught seafood is a speciality.
The Commodore Hotel - fantastic location right on the seafront at Instow with amazing view of the estuary. Great spot for a Devon Cream Tea in the afternoon or gin and tonic and enjoy the sunset.
Instow Arms– another pub overlooking the beach with beautifully cooked local food.
Hockings Ice Cream - once you have tried this local ice-cream (made across the river in Appledore) you will know why everybody raves about it. It really is the best local ice cream I have tasted. The van is parked on Instow seafront everday from morning till the sun goes down.
The Wayfarer - a good local pub serving a wide menu of good pub grub. Lively pub with good atmosphere. Small beer garden to the rear of the pub.
